Mis Triadas (Casi un blog musical) XII

Continuando con mis “chicas”, hoy le toca, quizás una de las mejores voz que tiene el Soul (y para mi, tendrá, y ha tenido), por su particular tono y rasgos. Hoy le toca a Anastacia.

De nombre Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, nació en Chicago (EE.UU) en septiembre de 1968). Resulta muy curioso este detalle. La primera vez que la escuché, pensé que era negra (lo digo sin connotación racista alguna, simplemente me parece ridículo la expresión afroamericana, de color, etc.,). Me sorprendió ver su primer video, ya que descubrí a " La Rubia con voz de negra” (“The Blonde Black”). Una “blanca” del norte de EE.UU que canta como una “sureña negra”, …..muy curioso el detalle.

En el inicio de su carrera y debido a su miopía uso gafas manía similar a la de Elton John, los dos compartieron la “afición” de coleccionarlas (algunas muy características). Se operó de su miopía en 2004 y ya “colgó” las gafas. No solo es una mujer de potente voz también la impulsa una gran fuerza interior. Superó en 1986 una operación en la que le extirparon parte del intestino debido a padecer la enfermedad de Crohn (Esta enfermedad es crónica y presenta diversos niveles de “gravedad”, no tiene cura definitiva, le causo la muerte al director de cine gallego Chano Piñeiro en 1995, tenía solo 40 años, por poner un ejemplo cercano). En 2003 se le detecto un cáncer de mama, del que también, se recupero la operación y posterior tratamiento.
Su carrera musical empezó a una edad “tardía” en 1999 (contaba con 31 años, no sé como tardaron tanto en descubrirla!!!!!!!). Desde entonces lleva una carrera un tanto irregular. Un inicio impresionante hasta 2004…“parada”…pequeño repunte…pero su cuarto y último disco en 2008 Heavy Rotatión presenta un “cambio” en su estilo, no es de todo aceptado por su público. ¿Este año sacará nuevo álbum?

Ha “compartido micrófono” con distintos interpretes. Entre ellos tenemos a: Michael Jackson, Luciano Pavarotti, Celine Dione; Vonda Shepard Ben Moody (ex componente del grupo Evanescence) Eros Ramazzotti, etc..

Como primera canción, seleccioné Cowboys & Kisses de su primer álbum Not That Kind (2000), en el mismo disco aparece I'm Outta Love, su primer gran éxito y tal vez el más conocido. Tiene una “deliciosa” mezcla de soul con country, con unos vistosos coros que acompañan a la cantante.

La segunda canción, Paid My Dues de su segundo disco Freak of Nature (2001). Anastacia nos “recrea” con “esa voz especial” rasgada y potente..y siguen los coros.

Por último Left outside alone, de su tercer disco Anastacia (2004), os dejo la que más me gusta de ella.
